TRADITIONAL ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies and the economy grows.
You retire on the income.

INDIAN ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You worship them.

PAKISTANI ECONOMICS
You don’t have any cows.
You claim that the Indian cows belong to you.
You ask the US for financial aid, China for military aid, British for
technology, French for submarines, Switzerland for loans, Russia for
drugs and Japan for equipment.
You buy the cows with all this and claim exploitation by the world.

AMERICAN ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You sell one and force the other to produce the milk of four cows.
You profess surprise when the cow drops dead. You put the blame on
some nation with cows and naturally that nation will be a danger to
mankind.
You wage a war to save the world and grab all their cows.

FRENCH ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You go on strike because you want three cows.

GERMAN ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You reengineer them so that they live for 100 years, eat once a month
and milk themselves.

BRITISH ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
They are both mad cows.

ITALIAN ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You don’t know where they are.
You break for lunch.

JAPANESE ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You redesign them so that they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary
cow and produce twenty times the milk.
You then create cute cartoon cow images called Cowkimon and market
them worldwide.

RUSSIAN ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You count them and learn you have five cows.
You count them again and learn you have 42 cows.
You count them again and learn you have 17 cows.
You give up counting and open another bottle of vodka.

CHINESE ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
You have 300 people milking them.
You claim full employment, high bovine productivity and arrest anyone
reporting the actual numbers.

BANGLADESHI ECONOMICS
You have two cows.
Neither give any milk but produce MOUNDS of bullshit on a daily basis.
You don’t know economy.
You choose one of them as the Prime Minister of the country and the
other as the Leader of the Opposition

Apacer announced the latest addition to its proud line of memory storage solution, the Apacer Handy Steno AH225. Apacer’s USB 2.0 Flash Drive AH225 trumps the commonplace features found in today’s flash drives with an added ability to organize those all-too-often runaway office notes with its magnetic cap - providing a memo stand function. The magnetic cap makes your work life easy as you post up the most important tasks and information in front of you on any magnetized surface, wall or office partition. The cap can also be clipped to the tail end of the USB drive while in use to avoid it being lost.

The AH225’s unique transparent colored cap and circular design brings a young and energetic outlook. With its high speed USB 2.0 performance and up to 4GB capacity it’s perfect for carrying documents, photos, presentations, videos and music files anywhere you go. AH225 blends in perfectly with your busy work routine and fun digital lifestyle. The Apacer Handy Steno AH225 also comes preloaded with ACE, Apacer Compression Explorer – a software application that provides file compression, decompression and password protection.

The AH255 comes in a flexible range of memory capacities - 512MB/1GB/2GB/4GB. Pricing details can only be obtained through Servex (M) Sdn Bhd.

ACE implements an advanced compression management system that shrinks commonly used files up to 5 times compared to the original file size. ACE effectively compresses documents, pictures, presentations, and audio files, giving users the chance to save more files on their trendy Apacer Handy Steno Series flash drives. ACE also provides password-level security to prevent personal or critical data breaches. The file security, implemented via a password prompt, is activated when the Handy Steno flash drive is plugged in.

With no complicated user interface blocking the way, ACE promotes convenient and quick drag-and-drop operation by automatically compressing and then saving files to the flash drive. Because ACE is built-in, users do not need to install the application on the PC, which is great for portability. In addition, the entire ACE installation package occupies only less than 1 MB of flash drive space.

With small form factor notebooks like the Asus EEE PC getting rave reviews and hype, it’s no surprise that almost every other manufacturer and brand is heading that route. After all nothing screams sexy and cool then a small cute little notebook being toted around. So in comes HP with its entrant to the small notebook market, with their HP 2133 Mini-Note PC or HP Mini for short.

As HP’s first 8.9 inch WXGA widescreen ultra-mobile mini notebook, the HP Mini has a simple yet refined design that features one of the largest usable QWERTY keyboard and touchpad for a superior computing experience. Weighing in at only 1.19 kg, the HP Mini has a sleek anodised aluminium casing with a durable magnesium alloy structure As an added security measure, there are no visible screws on the notebook to prevent tampering and thereby enhancing its aesthetics at the same time.

The Mini Note is already available and is retailing at the price of RM2,299 with Microsoft Windows OS. Read on for more info or go

Other features include:

An optional integrated VGA Webcam that allows for still-image capture, web conferencing, and video-enhanced instant messaging on the go

Built-in speakers and microphones

Full wireless features with a choice of Wi-Fi Certified WLAN and Bluetooth

Extended Battery life with two battery solutions - the standard 3-cell battery for lightest-weight configurations (2 hours and 15 minutes); or 6-cell version for longer battery life (4 hours and 30 minutes)

HP DuraKeys, featuring a clear coating applied over the notebook keyboard that protects the finish and the printed characters; makes it 50 times more resistant to wear than other keyboards

HP 3D DriveGuard, which sends a signal to shut down the hard drive to protect its data upon sudden movement or shock, thanks to its three-axis digital accelerometer chip

Samsung announced its latest development of the world’s fastst 2.5-inch 256GB Solid State Drive (SSD). The multi-level cell-based SSD uses SATA II interface and offers a 200MBps of read speed and 160MBps of write speed. The new SSD is only 9.5mm thick.

“With development of the 256GB SSD, the notebook PC is on the brink of a second stage of evolution. This change is comparable to the evolution from the Sony Walkman to NAND memory-based MP3 players, representing an initial step in the shift to thinner, smaller SSD-based notebooks with significantly improved performance and more than ample storage,” said Jim Elliott, vice president, memory marketing, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc.

JVC’s new super-slim LT-42S90 LCD TV features a cabinet that across most of its width measures a mere 39mm in depth, with a maximum thickness of just 74mm at the panel’s centre. This design ensures that from nearly any angle, these models present a super-slim appearance. Complementing the super-slim design is a thin 23mm bezel, which helps to further minimise the presence of the cabinet. It weighs less than 20kg and consumes 183watts one of the lowest figures in the industry today.

The slim design was made possible through the use of a new JVC-developed slim panel backlight unit and power supply substrate, or chassis. The new slim LCD panel backlight unit is 40 percent smaller (with a mere 20mm depth and 13mm bezel width) compared to a conventional LCD backlight. What’s more, the unit weighs only 12kg and consumes just 145W of power.

JVC’s display engineering team succeeded in developing a new, slimmer backlight unit by optimizing the light-diffusing plates and light-reflection sheets, as well as improving their overall composition. This provided uniform light-diffusion at all the corners and edges without the addition of more CCFL tubes, while maintaining adequate luminance to ensure that the screen always remains bright.

The LT-42S90 LCD TV will be available in 42-inch size, and offers 1920 x 1080p resolution. It retails at RM10,999 and is available now.

ASUS has released the Z7S WS workstation motherboard. This innovative motherboard is equipped with dual socket 771 and utilizes the latest Intel® 5400 chipset for vigorous performance. It also supports fully buffered DDR2 800MHz dual-channel memory, dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 lanes; and comes in the compact CEB form factor. With this innovative motherboard, users will enjoy convenient slot expansion and enjoy fast and efficient work efficiency.

The multiple slot interfaces increase expansion choices and allows users to obtain high data transmission speeds. Supporting dual PCIe 2.0 x 16 for double the normal bus bandwidth from 2.5 Gb/s to 5.0 Gb/s, users will truly be able to accomplish more tasks in a much shorter time; while enjoying backward compatibility with previous PCIe 1.1 standards. The Z7S WS also showcases PCI-X slots for more convenience on slot expansion, and is able to bring about full speeds for Gigabit Ethernet, SCSI RAID and other PCI-X devices.

Equipped with ASUS’ innovative heat-pipe solution, the Z7S dissipates heat efficiently. The Z7S’s particular heat-pipe design is made to increase durability, life spans and enhance thermal capacity. It also provides highly efficient operations with less heat than traditional heat sink designs.

The Z7s WS is available at RM2,350.
