HTC launches the HTC Touch Diamond

HTC today unveiled its latest flagship phone, the HTC Touch Diamond. Boosting a 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D in a super slim profile, the Touch Diamond improves where the HTC Dual and Touch left off.”Today we mark a new era in mobile phone evolution, an era where beauty and size integrate with uncompromising innovation at broadband speeds,” said Peter Chou, president and CEO, HTC Corp. “The HTC Touch Diamond will make browsing the Web and using web-enabled applications just as practical and easy to use as making calls.”

Logitech Pure-Fi Mobile Bluetooth Speaker

Logitech unveiled its Pure-Fi mobile speaker system.  The Pure-Fi system allows users to stream stereo audio through the Pure-Fi Mobile speaker system via Bluetooth connection with A2DP profile.

Then Pure-Fi is also a wireless speakerphone. It has two mics, one for picking up vocal nuances and the other for monitoring and blocking unwanted background noise. You can accept of end calls by pressing the call-answer and call-end buttons on the top of the device.

Samsung SGH-J408 3G Clamshell Hands-on Pics

Samsung SGH-J408 is a 3G clamshell mobile phone that supports GSM 900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 2100 networks. The Samsung J408 features a 1.8-inch 260k color internal display, a monochrome secondary display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 8MB memory and a microSD card slot.

ZTE C78 and C79 CDMA Phones

Here are two CDMA phones from ZTE for the North America market. Both of them are supports CDMA 1X networks. C79 comes with a 1.3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth and has integrated music player and a microSD card slot. The C78 is a less advanced model with only Bluetooth and VGA camera.

Nokia 6600 Phones

Nokia has announced the new 6600 3G mobile phones. There are two versions, the fold and the slide. 6600 fold features a 2.13-inch OLED display, a 2 Megapixel camera with 8x zoom, a secondary camera, integrated music player and 15MB internal memory.

Blackberry Kickstart - the First Clamshell BlackBerry

 

Ever seen a clamshell style BlackBerry smartphone? This is probably the first one, which is named as KickStart. Boy Genius Report shows us a shot on this upcoming smartphone.

The Blackberry Kickstart will features a Pearl-like keyboard, internal and external display. Not much info is available now, but we can expect the phone to be available by the end of the year.

OQO runs Leopard - the Smallest Mac

The OQO has been hacked to run Apple’s Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The Mac OQO is hacked by TRF, who is a member at OQO Talk. It is now the smallest Mac we have seen.

The hacked OQO is a dual boot device with Windows Vista and OS X Leopard installed. It takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds to boot Leopard.

LG Secret KF750- the Third Black Label

Few days ago, we have seen LG’s third Black Label mobile phone. Now, LG has officially announced the phone, which is named as LG Secret (aka KF750).

The Secret is a DivX certified phone, which means it supports natively playback of DivX media files.

Sony Ericsson Z780 Clamshell

Along with the G502, Sony Ericsson introduces also the new Z780 mobile clamshell. Like the G502, the phone is a 3G phone with high speed HSDPA support, while the phone adds also aGPS navigation support.

The Z780 comes with a 2.2-inch LCD display with 320×240 resolution, a monochrome external screen, a 2 Megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom, Bluetooth and FM tuner.

Nokia 5220 XpressMusic Phone

In addition to the 5320, there is another new member in the XpressMusic series, the 5220. 5220 XpressMusic is also a candy-bar. Unlike 5320, 5220 is a 2G phone with support for GSM/EDGE 850/1800/1900 or GSM/EDGE 900/1800/1900.

The music oriented 5220 comes with a 2-inch QVGA LCD screen, 2 Megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, integrated music player, FM Radio, Bluetooth, 30MB internal memory and a microSD card supporting up to 2GB cards.

Yes, we know it’s not a mobile phone, but it’s sleek, it’s fast, and it comes in black - just the right ingredients to make a geek drool.

Tag Heuer name their phone Meridiist

After numerous recent rumors, the Tag Heuer luxurious mobile phone is finally officially announced. The oddly named Tag Heuer Meridiist is a high-roller fashionable handset and a perfect match of the Swiss-made Tag Heuer timepieces. We must admit that its name sounds noble, but it’s awfully hard to spell (maybe we should type it wrong intentionally just for the sake of scoring high on the inevitably numerous wrong Google searches, hehe). But we digress.

LG Sky Blade IM-S320 Slider

Another slide from LG Sky, this time for SK Telecom and KT Telecom, Blade is also a slide phone. The Blade (IM-S320 for SK and IM-S320K for KT), features a 2.1-inch QVGA display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, integrated support for DMB, built-in music player and support for HSDPA.

T-Mobile Shadow II PDA Phone

Here is a spy shot on T-Mobile’s Shadow II PDA phone which is the successor of the Shadow. The Shadow II looks like HTC’s P3470.

The phone will probably support T-Mobile’s HotSpot services with the integrated WiFi.

Vertu Ascent Ti Released in Taiwan

Nokia’s Vertu division releases its Ascent Ti premium phone in the Taiwan market. Ascent Ti is Vertu’s first 3G phone. The phone features a 16 Million color 240×320 display, a 3 Megapixel camera that can capture MP4 videos, integrated media player, Bluetooth and 4GB internal storage.

Motorola Z8 Ferrari Limited Edition

Remember the Motorola Z8 kick slider phone? Here is the limited Ferrari edition of the phone. The phone is a MOTO Z8 themed with Ferrari’s Red.

Like the original Z8, the phone is a 3G/HSDPA phone with a QVGA screen, a 2 Megapixel camera, a VGA secondary camera, 90MB internal storage, support for Bluetooth and a microSD card slot.

Intel is hoping to revolutionize the industry with the Atom

I’m not quite in the market for a tiny portable PC just yet, however, once I am ready there will be plenty of options to choose from. While the Eee PC from Asus really sparked things last year, Intel’s Atom chip is likely going to revolutionize the industry. At least that’s what Intel is hoping to do.
