4 Port USB in Car Charger

USB_Car_Charger_with_4_ports

New USB type gadgets are being launched weekly. They range from very crazy which includes USB grills, USB fans and USB bombs to the very handy USB flash drive duplicators. This latest takes a fairly simple approach and is a 4 port USB in car charger. The 4 port car charger connects to your standard lighter found in most cars and then provides power to four ports. This is especially handy for those on the road who have many USB based gadgets that need charging such as modern mobile phones, PDA’s, MP3 players and cameras.

A-Data released two Eee PC-branded storage solutions

Eee PC SD Card

It’s always interesting to watch the market get flooded with accessories when a new revolutionary product is released. Good examples would be the iPod and Wii. It seems like you can’t look anywhere without seeing an iPod dock or some strange weapon-themed holder for your Wiimote. It seems that the Eee PC may be added to that list.

Improve your iPhone typing skills

My Touch Keys

About a month ago I finally decided to cave and purchase an iPod Touch. To be perfectly honest, I love it, and rarely leave the house without it in my pocket. When I have WiFi access, I’ll use it to check my mail and keep up on news, which is pretty cool. I was surprised at how easy it was to use the keyboard, even if I’m still a bit slow with it. If you’re looking for something to improve your ability to type on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you may consider My Touch Keys.

Microsoft Wants to Invade Your Home, and that’s a Good Thing

Digital Home Makeover

As much as I can’t stand that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show, I wouldn’t mind if Ty and his buddies came to my house and whipped it into shape with a few sledgehammers and new furniture.

Jet Calculator

lexon-calc.jpg

The Jet Calculator cannot take to the skies, but what it does is look really sleek on your desk. This is more the domain of cell phones, but all the Jet Calculator does is look extremely sweet in its aluminum-alloy body and gold/silver colored design. It will be made available in Korea sometime early next month, with the silver and gold models retailing for $43 and $53, respectively. I think most people will think this is some sort of newfangled cell phone at first glance.

Jacket that harnesses body heat

power-jacket.jpg

This jacket is pretty interesting - it harnesses the power of your body warmth in order to recharge portable electronic devices, notably cell phones, handheld consoles and laptops. This process is known as “electroless etching”, featuring rough silicon nanowires synthesized with silver ions on a flat water surface. These wafers will then be woven into coats, where excess warmth from your body is turned into energy that could give you additional talktime on your cell phone. This is definitely an interesting development that I won’t mind seeing incorporated into the majority of my wardrobe.

Medusa splits your HDMI connection, doesn’t turn you to stone

Medusa HDMI hub

What’s in a name? Would a hub by any other name not be just as plain and boring? You’ll have to part my paraphrasing Bill Shakespeare, however, I’m really curious how people come up with some of the crazy names for gadgets. Take this HDMI hub for example. Do you really think that this seems like something that would resemble a mythological creature such as Medusa?

Cool Clock recycles old computer gear

CD Drive Clock

If you’re like me, you’ve probably acquired a massive amount of old gadgets and computer parts. There are times where I have to just close my eyes and start throwing stuff out because I need the closet space. For some reason I always think that I’ll get around to finding a use for that old Pentium II or 8x CD burner. While I probably won’t actually use them, someone has figured out a good use for old optical drives. Just turn them into clocks.

The Top 10 American Idol contestants took to the stage last night to sing songs from ‘The Year they Were Born’ … which obviously means more songs from the 80’s!
A few weeks back the contestants sang 80’s songs and there were great performances as there were lousy ones!

od Bless the USA may keep Kristy Lee Cook in American Idol

American Idol - Carly Smithson

Kristy Lee Cook’s rendition of “God Bless the USA” may spare her from getting voted out this week; “that was the most clever song choice I’ve ever heard.” Simon said.

So Kristy Lee may be safe…well, that was a hard one to predict. She’s been in the bottom three vote getters for weeks and she’s got the worst odds to win American Idol, 75 to 1. Is there more to say about her?

Chris Webber Will Announce His Retirement

It was a week ago to the day that I pointed out how irrelevant Chris Webber had become for the Warriors. Not surprisingly, he also made that same realization: the San Francisco Chronicle reports that C-Webb will announce his retirement at a press conference tomorrow morning. Don Nelson, though, couldn’t wait that long before waxing nostalgic:
