HTC TyTN II

One of the hottest PDAs around lately, the HTC TyTN II is one feature-loaded son-of-a-gun. It’s got what it takes to quench your daily communication needs, and more: HSDPA/HSUPA, Wi-Fi, 2.8″ touchscreen TFT display, hardware QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera with auto focus and a built-in GPS receiver. A 400 MHz processor is in charge of all that on a Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro platform. New firmware benefits Nokia N95

Fujitsu to Release 2.5-Inch HDD with 320GB Capacity

Fujitsu Ltd has announced the development of the MHZ2 BH series of 2.5-inch hard disk drives (HDD) with a maximum capacity of 320GB. Sales of the MHZ2 BH series will begin in February 2008.

The MHZ2 BH series is said to possess the highest storage capacity for 2.5-inch HDDs, delivering transfer speeds of up to 300MB per second. The series is designed primarily for use in compact desktop PCs, notebook PCs, and consumer electronics products, such as HDD recorders.

Samsung releases 3rd gen Blu-ray player

Samsung clearly signals its intention to support the Blu-ray camp by introducing the BD-P1400 Blu-ray disc player - the third generation of its kind. The BD-P1400 is no slouch when it comes to performance, boasting full compatibility with 24 movie frames per second playback. This works out great since most movies are filmed at 24 fps, hence the BD-P1400 is capable of playing back movies in their native format resulting in a significant reduction of unwanted artifacts at the same time.

Nokia adds N810 Internet tablet to Nseries range

October 19, 2007 Nokia has introduced the latest addition to their Nseries - the new N810 Internet Tablet - at the the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. The pocket-sized, GPS enabled device allows users to connect to the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot or over their Bluetooth mobile phone to make internet calls; check email; watch videos on YouTube or update a blog using the device’s slide-out keyboard and 4.13″, 800×480 resolution touch screen.

Is it over for the Moller SkyCar?

 “Where are the flying cars?! They promised me flying cars!” That was the infamous lament of actor Avery Brooks in a popular IBM commercial a few years back and he has a point. Where are the flying cars? Well, we’ve seen many announcements that they’re coming with the most famous is the Moller Sky Car. Now it seems that with losing over 40 million in development costs, even Moller executives are leery about the prospects for the future of their flying car.

The Transition: Yet another promise of flying cars

“Where are the flying cars?! They promised me flying cars!” Those were the famous words of actor Avery Brooks as he kvetched about how the promise of the future wasn’t really all that promising. Well, maybe it is. Graduates from MIT have formed Terrafugia Inc., which has created a proof of concept for a prototype car plane is known as The Transition, a 19-foot, two-seat light-sport aircraft who’s foldable wings will allow pilots to land at an airport and then taxi right on to a nearby freeway for the drive home.

2008 Nissan GT-R

Nissan announced the launch of the Nissan GT-R, a new multi-dimensional performance machine that lives up to the concept of “an ultimate supercar for anyone, anywhere, at anytime”. The new Jaguar XF

 Jaguar XF, a totally new four-door sedan, goes on sale in North America in Spring 2008. Jaguar retailers are taking orders now.

The XF signals a new design and engineering direction Jaguar will be taking in the coming years, the company says. Jaguar designed the XF to exude the visual excitement of a coupe in a four-door sedan with room for five adults. The interior is designed to look contemporary but uniquely Jaguar with luxurious materials, sophisticated instruments and calm mood lighting.

Pen phone design is smallest yet

 

  There have been pen phone concepts before, even a few working products, but none as slim and small as this one sent us by an anonymous tipster. He told us this “design A” is not a finished product yet, and added that the undisclosed company he’s working for wants to gauge interest in such a device. While most users will connect the phone to Bluetooth earpieces, those two target-shaped areas on the top and bottom are earpiece and receiver. So far, so good. What do you think, readers?

NOKIA N81 music & gaming taken to another level

The N81 is a slider running S60 3rd Edition FP1. It has 8 GB of onboard memory, a 16 million color 320 x 240 screen, 2 mega pixel camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP support and 3G in the 2100 MHz band. It launches during 4Q 2007.

World’s Smallest Projector

 

As mobile gadgets - especially cell phones - get smaller and thinner, their LCD displays get way too small as well. This makes sharing that funny/sexy/cool video clip on your cell phone with a group of friends a little difficult. Wouldn’t it be nice if our cell phones can act as a projector and project its screen onto a nearby wall? Microvision aims to do just that.

Doggie Treadmill For The Lazy

Well, when you keep a dog, you should take it outside for walks. Paws needs exercise too to stay sexy and healthy. But if you have no choice, or that the rainy season is here, or you’re just plain lazy, I suggest getting him a dog treadmill.

What a great product that could be saving dogs that are not getting any walks their whole life.

Artificial Cornea Gives Hope To The Blind

Major advancements in technology like this one are what makes the future worth looking forward to. Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany have invented an artificial cornea that may well be the key to restoring sight for our people with damaged corneas.
